    • In the seven days between April 12 and April 18, violent crime reports jumped significantly and property crime reports were about average.
    • Over the last three months, Downtown averaged 16.5 violent crimes and 64.6 property crimes per week.
    • This week's rate of 4.2 crimes per 10,000 people is higher than in nearby Boyle Heights, Lincoln Heights, Central-Alameda, Chinatown, Echo Park and Westlake and lower than University Park, Pico-Union and Historic South-Central.
    • A daytime population estimate of 207,440 from SCAG is used to calculate per-capita totals because the Census Bureau's residential estimates underrepresent the population at risk of crime.
