I am a fairly new resident to LVT. I moved in 05'. I love it! I grew up in North Hollywood and my mother was worried when I moved. Our crime rate is lower! LOL (o:
More than a comment i would like to ask you a question: Where or Whom do I have to call? ( There is a house on Christy Avenue in lake View terrace where the person who lives there is making a hole infront of his house. The problem is the horrible smell and pop !!! I walk my dog almost every day and I have to walk by that house infront of Armwood Rd. Are there any regulations to do that?) Thank you verymuch for your help.
I LOVE Lake View Terrace. Senor de Guzman's comments do not reflect the community of LVT. I love the fact that I know and trust most of my neighbors. Crime and noise are usually generated by OTHERS coming into OUR community.
I love that it's ruralness makes me feel like I'm not in the city, yeah it spills in every so often but we all look out for each other.
The horses, smell and all... The Hawks, the Coyote's singing, Oh, the bugs! God's creatures all around us. The breezes so kind. I love it here....
on the weekends it is common to see Caballeros out riding their horses in full costumes that I've only seen during the rose parade. I love that it's not unusual to see people pull up to the 7-11 on horseback. I love that on breezy sundays I can hardly count the number of hang gliders filling the sky above Kagel canyon. I love the way we pull together before, during and after the fires It's quiet, it's unique, it's diverse and I wouldn't change a thing
This part of the city is neglected and LACKS public funding and is full of crime, noise, loud music and no sense of community. I have lived here for several years and my family retains a home here.
How may a resident of this area get involved in public policy/planning?
