It is so beautiful in Leona Valley with everyone living on acreage. Can't believe Leona Valley is in L A County. Feels like a big gated community where most people know their neighbors and will help each other at the drop of a hat or whiff of smoke.
Leona Valley was a great place to grow up-room to stretch your wings without bumping into someone else. Some of the people are a little...eccentric...but that tends to be the case anywhere these days.
The downside-having to go over the hill or into Palmdale for basic needs, schooling and medical care, and the lack of any sort of jobs for young people-that's why I moved to Sacramento when I was 23.
