moved here in 1982 and have never left. feel very safe in monrovia. people are nice and the police are very good as they patrol the residential streets all the time.we have all the shops you could want so theres no need to drive far to get something.A good city to raise a family.
Fond memories of High School years here. Left the area in 1969 for greener pastures in Humboldt County. Returning for 50th High School Reunion in April. Can't imagine leaving there but we have a cousin who does.
Grew up in Monrovia and enjoyed it. Went back recently- Liked the small town feeling yet the amenities. Considering moving back and resettling there since it was convenient yet far enough away from LA!
Lived in Monrovia 10 wonderful years before moving back East to Washington, DC. Beautiful, fun, warm, diverse, well-run town with a unique feel, and with a treasure trove of gorgeous historic homes. Miss it.
My kids have grown up in Monrovia -and proud of it, thank you. We presently live in Charlotte N.C., but we are going home to Monrovia this summer. Monrovia a wonderful place to live. Monrovia is the perfect home town, clean, warm and beautiful. Our new Library that sits downtown, the cities heart.

Also known as the Gem City...
Great place to live! People are friendly and the place has a small town feel. Great restaurants and always something to do on Myrtle Ave. Close to Pasadena and only 20 miles to Downtown L.A. Nick named, Mayberry USA. Recently featured as one of the best small towns by Los Angeles Magazine.
