wrong there has been more crime and where is our school
the best neighborhood in all of Los Angeles
I have lived here since 2002. I couldn't imagine living elsewhere in L.A. Friendly neighbors. Larchmont Blvd is a treat. Great kids park on Van Ness. Beautiful homes with classic architecture, kept so due to the HPOZ ordinance. Good local newspaper. Abundance of schools. Ideal location to getting anywhere in the basin. Downtown is 15 minutes, the beach is 25 minutes, and we have a world of amenities within a 5 mile radius.
I lived in Windsor Square from August 1987 to November 1992. I look back at that time very fondly.
I have been living here since 86'. Great community with an excellent public school - Third School Elementary and John Burroughs Middle School.
Importantly, The HPOZ will help preserve the look and feel of the neighborhood.
Windsor Square is a housing community that started around 1912. The houses are amazing! Grand craftsmans kept in immaculate condition. Here you will find the mayor's house (the historic Getty mansion).
With tree lined streets and manicured lawns, it is definitely a desirable area (if you like living in the middle of the city). Personally, the helicopters irritate the heck out of me. You hear them loudly about every hour or so. So, if I were to own a home, it probably would not be here, as I like to relax with the window open.
I've been living here for three years. It is a very pleasant neighborhood, quiet with wonderful trees. The occasional helicopter makes a lot of noise but it's reassuring to know that the police are doing their best to contain crime.
