L.A.'s Eastside: Where do you draw the line?

“ The Eastside is the area developed prior to the post WWII tract housing construction. It is the area east of the L.A. River. The area west of the Los Angeles River has been historically not considered East Los Angeles. Depending on the location, it's either Downtown Los Angeles, South Los Angeles, Chinatown or Elysian Park area. ” — Maria from Los Angeles (West Adams District), Feb. 18, 2014, 10:04 a.m.
